What do we do ?
The Canarian palm tree (Phoenix canariensis) is the plant emblem of our islands and we are obliged to take care of it in its region of origin, to pass it on to future generations.
At Canariensis we are very aware of this and we want to be your reference company in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura for everything that concerns your care. Our connection with this plant is very strong. We try to understand their needs and adapt their surroundings so that we can enjoy their majestic beauty.
Xerolandscape or xerogardening is a concept developed in the United States in the early 1980s as a result of the droughts suffered in some states at the end of the previous decade.
It is a way of understanding, designing and carrying out gardening, aimed at the null or almost null use of water in its subsequent maintenance.
Pools with organic shapes and biological filtration are our favourites.
Natural pools achieve the living balance of the water in which we bathe. Biological filtration means that we can coexist in our private pool with plants and even fish if you wish. These types of pools avoid all the skin problems caused by the chemical products used in more traditional pools.
This is a new concept in Lanzarote and we are proud to be the pioneers, also in this.
It is a type of gardening that we can identify with our island. A garden that, although inspired by the work of César Manrique, never pretends to be equal to his work. We are convinced that most people, when they visit the Jameos del Agua or the César Manrique Foundation, think that they would very much like their garden to be similar and they see themselves perfectly swimming in their pools.
The rationalization of irrigation water is of vital importance in our islands. Our staff is trained to study your garden and assess its irrigation needs, as well as detect the problems that your garden has as a result of a previous poor study of your irrigation installation.
A good irrigation system can allow a water saving of more than 50% and a prior study of reasoned planting of species in our garden can lead to a saving of 80%, without depriving us of the beauty of a natural garden where the plants find optimal conditions for development.
Our staff will help you define the maintenance needs of your garden or community and we will also advise you on the possibilities of saving on this concept.
We will make an annual work plan and calculate balanced and identical monthly quotas throughout the year, regardless of the amount of seasonal work to be carried out.
In our creations, we will always go in favor of the land that welcomes us. The “Lanzarote Style” design, the ecological pools and the gardening with little water needs and with fully controlled and reasoned irrigation systems, are some of our strengths.
